Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to award a contract to a suitable provider, for the provision of Contact Lens Services and Supply,valued at 140,000GBP per year Incl VAT, for 2 years with 1+1 (year) options for extending.
The Service aims to facilitate and encourage co-ordinated care for patients with low vision, provide appropriate contact lenses as required for the patient’s eye condition and prescription, ensure suitable demonstration of the lens use and advice regarding personal and individual recommended wearing regime, and to provide information and advice on the care and maintenance of the lenses
The procurement aims to award a contract to a provider that will ensure the provision of a contact lens service that complies with national guidelines and quality standards at all times. The Provider will be fully involved in the co-ordination, assessment and issuing of contact lenses for patients according to clinical presentation. Responsibility for sourcing and supply of lenses will fall within the deliverables of the service and as such will be the responsibility of the service provider. Providers will manage the service in line with national charging arrangements for a hospital contact lens service including exemption from charges arrangements
