Planning services for the establishment of ecological continuity (fish ascent and descent) at the Eldena weir up to and including preparation of the award. This essentially includes the object and structural design, as well as the planning of the technical equipment including optional, special and on-demand services.
The Eldena barrage is located in the municipality of Eldena (district: Ludwigslust-Parchim, responsible office: Grabow) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at km 17.97 of the Müritz-Elde waterway (MEW) east of Eldena. The barrage consists of a ship lock in the main arm of the MEW (BWaStr ID No. 5901), the Eldena weir in the Eldena weir arm (BWaStr ID No. 5948) and the Eldena base weir in the main arm of the MEW at km 19.85. The Eldena weir is used to regulate the congestion of the MEW, Güritz-Eldena posture and was replaced in 2005 by a new building with a 2-span weir with a fishbelly flap.
The lock and weirs are owned by the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV) and are maintained and operated by the Waterways and Shipping Authority (WSA) Elbe, ABZ Grabow. According to § 34 para. 3 WHG, the WSV is obliged to maintain or restore the ecological continuity of the dams on federal waterways (BWaStr) built or operated by it, insofar as this is necessary to achieve the objectives of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD).
The Eldena barrage does not have a fish ladder (FAA) and/or fish ladder (FAbA).
The aim of the engineering services is to plan measures for the establishment of ecological continuity (fish ascent and descent) at the Eldena weir up to and including the preparation of the awarding of the contract. This essentially includes the object and structural design, as well as the planning of the technical equipment including optional, special and on-demand services.
The construction of facilities for ecological continuity constitutes an expansion according to WaStrG and is therefore subject to planning approval.
In addition to the actual object, structural and planning of the technical equipment, the commissioning of the planning services also includes the preparation of the documents:
