Tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of three (3) real time PCR Thermocyclers. This requirement to purchase three Real Time Thermocyclers is to support the increasing needs of the Plant Science Division to analyse samples using real time PCR methodology. The instruments must support medium to high throughput real time polymerase chain reactions. The instruments must have a small footprint and operate through an integrated touchscreen or through a direct LAN connection with DAFM PCs; the instruments must allow multiplexing. The instruments must have interchangeable blocks to accommodate 96 and 384 well plates. The real time thermocyclers must support reactions with volumes ranging from 5 to 30ul (depending on the block) and must have a fast reaction option and the blocks must include up to 6 independent temperature zones.
