The Authority has a requirement to maintain continuity of a through life customer support service to the MOD owned Chinook aircraft. This requires the maintenance of an agreed number of aircraft, with associated technical and logistics support (including on-aircraft maintenance and off-aircraft component work) to enable the Front Line Commands (FLC) to achieve their funded flying task. The fleet of aircraft is operated by Joint Helicopter Command within Land Command. The continuing requirement also includes provision of supply chain management service, technical support services, modification services, and provision of management services and information. The Project Team may place further Over and Above tasking where it requires Boeing's expertise and access to relevant proprietary rights and data.
