Description:
Services for trend research

The object of the contract is the conclusion of a framework agreement with a company according to § 21 VgV.

For the trend research contracts to be awarded, a contract is to be concluded with a company on the basis of which individual contracts are awarded. Consequently, the framework contract does not contain all the conditions for the award of individual contracts. The framework agreement is specified by the respective individual order. It defines the specific task, the scope of services and the service period.

The aim of the "NDR Trend" study is to continuously monitor the market for electronic media in the four state treaty states of Norddeutscher Rundfunk (Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Hamburg).

The NDR Trend is a regular long-term survey that contains the following sets of questions: fixed questions that are asked in each wave (currently one wave per year); Questions that are asked, for example, in every second wave, as well as questions that are newly added. On average, the proportion of new questions per wave will not take up more than a third of the survey time.

Optionally, it should also be possible to use the cases in two waves a year. That would not be the case until 2024 at the earliest. It should also be possible to develop a rolling process from this (optional). In this rolling procedure, there would be a data delivery twice a year on the basis of 3600 cases, whereby half of the data would always consist of new survey data.

As a rule, the NDR Trend will be carried out in an autumn wave with 3600 respondents each. The field time may extend over a maximum of nine weeks at a time and may not be shorter than six weeks. If possible, no major sporting events should take place during field time. Usually, the survey wave starts at the beginning of September. In consultation with the client, the CAWI part can start a little later, e.g. due to the method. Optionally, it should be possible to realize two waves, each with 1800 respondents.

The following content is at the forefront of the NDR Trend:

- Reach and use of NDR's media offerings - on its own and other platforms, on the basis of which an overall reach can also be generated

- Internet use in general

- Image of the NDR and statements about the NDR

- Integration of a lifestyle typology specified by the client, e.g. Sinus Milieus. If necessary, this requires cooperation in data integration with another institute, e.g. with the Sinus Institute

- Other lifestyle typologies can also be proposed by the contractor and optionally described in more detail in the offer
