Provision of up to three locomotives by the contractor for the purpose of providing transport services in local rail passenger transport (SPNV) in the west network of the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The subject of the order is the provision of a diesel locomotive in the timetable years 2025 to 2034 for use in regional rail transport in the West network of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. For this purpose, the contractor must conclude a provision contract with the state. The locomotive to be provided by the contractor must comply with the specifications for locomotive design, approval and network access described in more detail in the procurement documents. The locomotive must have a so-called local transport package or be retrofitted with one by the time of the first provision in order to be able to be used with the married-pair wagon units currently in passenger operation. The locomotive will be made available on a rental basis to the railway undertaking (EVU) providing rail transport services on the West network. The takeover of the locomotive from the RU and its return takes place at predetermined locations and must be documented in each case.
