The subject of this tender is construction work at the traffic stations in the Westast of the Regiobahn infrastructure.

The S28 S-Bahn line operated by Regiobahn Fahrbetriebsgesellschaft mbH travels a total of 34 kilometers from Mettmann via Erkrath, Düsseldorf and Neuss to Kaarst. A 16-kilometer section of the DB Netz will be used between Düsseldorf-Gerresheim and Neuss Hbf. Regiobahn GmbH is the infrastructure owner for the remaining 18 kilometers. Talent railcars are used on the S28. The railcar equipped with 2 diesel engines reaches a top speed of 100 km / h and takes around 51 minutes to cover the 18-stop route. As part of the increase in operational safety of the Bf IKEA Kaarst and the Hp Kaarst Mitte / Holzbüttgen, the platforms have to be extended in order to guarantee a distance due to the current regulations between the H-boards and the pedestrian level crossings. The blind guidance system will also be upgraded at the traffic stations. All stops are in the so-called "Westast" of the Regiobahn infrastructure. The Regiobahn infrastructure is classified as a branch line. The following trades are part of this tender:

- Construction of the auxiliary platform Hp Johanna-Etienne-Krankenhaus,

- Platform extension for tracks 1 and 2 Bf IKEA Kaast,

- platform extension track 1 Hp Kaarst Mitte / Holzbüttgen,

- upgrading the blind guidance system at the stops IKEA Kaarst, Kaarst Mitte / Holzbüttgen, Kaarster train station and Kaarster See,

- Retrofitting the 50 Hz supplies.
