The DWD wants to replace AMDA I/II systems used in 182 full-time measurement fields with MODES H systems. In addition, there are a few additional stations, circulation systems and laboratory and test systems, so that the total number amounts to 215 MODES-H systems. In addition, an additional 10 prototypes are required and spare parts worth about 10 systems are to be retrieved over the contract period.
The subject of tender is the replacement of the existing measurement data acquisition systems in the full-time measurement network with new data acquisition systems in the “Hamster” project. 225 pieces 19" enclosures (MODES H) are to be procured in the coming years in accordance with the specifications of service and spare parts.
The installation of the systems in the measuring network is carried out by the DWD on its own and is not part of the subject of tender.
The delivery of the systems is intended to conclude a framework contract with a term of 5 years (2022 to 2026) with extension options.
The minimum purchase quantity (acceptance obligation) for the duration of the contract is 225 pieces in total:

Year 2024:55 pieces, year 2025:80 pieces, year 2026:80 pieces.
