In the municipalities served by the principal Vesar As (the Vesarregion) and their collaborative municipalities Sandefjord and Larvik (~ 225 000 inhabitants), food waste and plastic packaging is primarily being collected in bags and sacks, but the Vesarregion also use containers for plastic packaging. In the Vesarregion and Sandefjord some customers additionally have their residual waste collected in sacks. The Vesarregionen also offer retrieving garden waste in paper sacks.
Biodegradable bio-bags ar used in today's food waste solution, but recycling of the reject from the treatment plant is considered, and a transition to plastic bags may become relevant during the contract period.
Plastic sacks for plastic packaging collected in containers are being considered, for enabling a control of the sorting quality.
Sacks are being considered as a solution for collecting textiles and fabrics, it may therefore be necessary to buy plastic sacks for this purpose during the contract period.
Refering to the short description in II.1.4. Bags and sacks covering the solutions described there are to be offered. Transparent tieing sacks are to be offered for plastic packaging. For residual waste black sacks are to be offered. Green sacks for extra residual waste beyond ordinary capacity is also to be offered. For garden waste bags of paper are to be offered.
As earlier described biodegradable bio-bags ar currently being used for collecting food waste, but optionally plastic bags are also to be offered. If use of the option the plastic bags will replace biobags.
Sacks fore use in 240 l and 360 l containers are to be offered as an option.
Bags for textiles are also to be offered as an option.
