The University of Stavanger (UiS) would like to enter into a framework agreement for legal assistance.

The University of Stavanger (UiS) wishes to enter into an agreement for legal services. The assistance shall cover the contracting authority's need for primary legal assistance. The contracting authority has sporadic need for legal assistance and quality assurance in connection with the University's activities. UiS has its own legal personnel in various departments, who advise and assist within the most important fields of law for the university. There is a need for external assistance on occasions where UiS' own lawyers are lacking the capacity to provide the necessary legal assistance, and/or where expertise in fields of law is not covered internally and/or for more than what is covered internally. The framework agreement period is 2 years. The contracting authority shall have the option to prolong the framework agreement for a further 1 + 1 year, to a maximum total period of 4 years.
