The work concerns the project to build a metropolitan swimming pool north of the Metropolitan Tourangelle, in Fondettes, on a site that covers a total surface of 16,956 m 2 . The project, located on rue Alfred de Musset, is part of the development of the Grands Champs project, which redefines the northern entrance to the city. To the north, the building creates a strong visual event that appeals from the entrance to the city. This is not to provoke but to signify the rurality / urbanity transition in a pictorial approach of the place. To the south, the building comes to curl up against the planned forecourt at the rue Grégoire de Tours and rue Alfred de Musset. The project includes the following ponds and aquatic facilities, inside:

- a body of water covered by 5 water lines,

- a fun pool,

- a relaxation and well-being area

- a pentagliss,

- a paddling pool

And outside:

- mineral beaches and a plant solarium

- a water playground.

Of the 17 lots comprising the Aquatic Center construction works, all the lots were awarded apart from Lot 7, which is therefore re-launched in the call for tenders. The duration of 20 months concerns all 17 lots.
