The St. Vincenz Hospital Limburg uses monitoring monitors from the manufacturer Philips in different configurations or designs to monitor patients, depending on the department-specific requirements. A total of 172 monitor beds are equipped with Philips monitors.

Due to the age of the device and the associated discontinuation of support by Philips ("End of Support" as of 31.12.2022), some of the existing monitors may no longer be able to be used from 2023. These patient monitors must be replaced by current models.

In some departments / areas, the monitoring centers must be updated by an update in order to continue to ensure compatibility. In addition, due to new requirements, additional patient monitors or components are also required.

A need for 56 patient monitoring monitors (IntelliVue and Efficia), 49 transport units/monitors and 18 telemetry units including control/monitoring unit was identified. In addition, 5 monitoring centers need an update.
