Staatsbosbeheer plants trees and shrubs every year, especially in the form of forest plants, feathers and stakes. And occasionally avenue trees and plugs. This is part of the strategy for strengthening the resilience of forests and increasing forest cover. The focus is on the creation of new forest and the replanting of ash and norway spruce forests, which are dying en masse due to diseases, pests and climate change.
