The aim of the procurement is to replace the institute's existing enterpise firewall system in the computer centre with a new system with higher service and more functionality. The current firewall system is used to secure DMZ, the server network and the user network. It supports max. 5 Gbit/s firewall throughput and a minimum 10 Gbit/s and has 10 GbE-ports. The offered system must support stateful failover and consist of a minimum of two hardware units that shall be placed in two separate computer rooms.

In addition to replacing the firewall system in the computer centre, there will be a need for further procurements of firewalls for our regional offices and small locations in the coming years. We would therefore like to establish a framework agreement for the procurement of firewalls. The framework agreement shall cover our need for firewall system within the framework agreement period.
