Provision of linen and laundry services at the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust (Walton Centre Main Site and Sid Watkins Building)

Provision of linen and laundry services at the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust (Walton Centre Main Site and Sid Watkins Building). Services required cover:

— supply of linen,

— laundering and finishing service,

— collection and delivery to and from the trust site,

— maintaining adequate stock levels at all times,

— provide a collect, wash and return only service for those items detailed as trust owned linen.

The successful provider must ensure that a high quality service is delivered to the Trust 365 days a year and comply with all required legislation relating to laundry and linen services (HTM 01-04 as a minimum).

Laundry services provided must:

— minimises the risk of infection,

— wherever possible reduce the environmental impact and volumes of laundry chemicals used during the process,

— provide the most economical return for the Trust,

— support the trust to provide a seamless service for patients in terms laundry and linen.
