Industry 4.0: Mechatronics laboratory - mobile and stationary robotics.
An Industry 4.0 factory for the mechatronics laboratory with a focus on mobile and stationary robotics is to be procured at the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. Since research at universities of applied sciences is always to be seen in connection with practice-oriented training, this application aims to interlink and combine existing research priorities and to create a new, interdisciplinary research focus on Industry 4.0.
For example, students can deal with topics in this environment in student project work and thus establish a practical relevance. With this requested mechatronics laboratory, the attractiveness for cooperation with SMEs is increased significantly. For this reason, the use of industrial components and the use of standardized interfaces for the individual system parts are of the greatest importance.
The equipment of the Institute for Mechanical Engineering is hereby supplemented by Industry 4.0 components, thereby transferring the existing control technology and robotics laboratories into an interlinked "Industry 4.0: Mechatronics laboratory - mobile and stationary robotics". Corresponding room plans for a better understanding of the scope of equipment are attached to these specifications as an annex.
