High Peak Borough Council (HPBC) and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) operate together as a strategic alliance. This includes a joint public space CCTV monitoring control room in high peak and joint monitoring and maintenance contracts.
The authorities are inviting tenders for the supply and installation of a new digital wireless system in Staffordshire Moorlands and control centre equipment upgrade situated in high peak and 3 or 5 yr maintenance packages across both authorities.

Together the CCTV system comprises of 74 permanent street camera positions at various locations across both authority regions, with a central control monitoring location based in high peak. The authorities are inviting tenders to provide a new digital solution based around the supply, installation and commissioning of new digital wireless networks in SMDC, and the supply, installation and commissioning of a new modern digital CCTV control and recording systems in the central High Peak control room. The Councils require upgrades to its existing SMDC camera equipment.
Analogue cameras situation in high peak will remain in place and will be incorporated into the new system in the control room. Maintenance packages are also required for both authorities either as a 3 or 5 year service.
