The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate (MWVLW) would like to further intensify economic cooperation with Israel as part of its foreign trade strategy and its location marketing concept. The aim is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups from Rhineland-Palatinate in entering the Israeli market and to market Rhineland-Palatinate as a business location. The focus is on the targeted transfer of knowledge and technology and the support of SMEs in entering the Israeli market as well as advice on settlement projects and investor acquisition.
In 2020, the first economic representative office was established in Israel. Their assignment has expired after two years of cooperation. Now it is important to continue the successes already achieved with a follow-up representation and to generate new successes. An economic representation in Israel strengthens the visibility of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate as a location for innovation and investment. Cooperation with Israel also offers the opportunity to expand one's own knowledge with high-quality knowledge. After the kick-off years 2020-2022, an economic representation of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate will continue to be maintained. This should continue to provide a qualified contact person who has the necessary technical and intercultural skills on site in the future, which is necessary in particular because of the complex economic structures and the specific economic sectors. The capital Tel Aviv is still planned as the location in order to ensure efficient exchange and international connections.
