North of Sargans, on Sarganserstrasse, the Markthalle section up to and including the Gonzen mine junction will be made more compatible with settlements. At the Rheinstrasse/Vilderstrasse junction, a concrete roundabout is created. It is planned to separate the roadway by a multi-purpose strip and to rebuild the footpath and cycle path. The multi-purpose strip is made safer with furniture / trees. The crossing areas are secured with central islands. Various plant lines, such as gas, water, telephone, electricity and sewerage with road drainage must be adapted.
