As a supplier under contract with the contracting entity, the economic operator awarded the contract to the Nordic Council of Ministers as a customer must operate, develop, maintain and support the statistics solution Nordic Statistics (Nordic Statistics).

Background:

Nordic Statistics or Nordic Statistics is a collection of high-quality Nordic comparative statistics. It has existed since the mid-1960s - and has always been funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers. Initially, and for many years, the statistics were published on paper. Later the publication was supplemented by a CD-ROM containing the statistical data.

Today, Nordic Statistics consists of two primary digital communication platforms in English: The database itself and the website NordicStatistics.org, which contains various forms of dissemination of the statistics. The dissemination is continuously developed and adapted. In addition, the contracting entity, the Nordic Council of Ministers, is responsible for publishing the statistics in Norden.org/en/nordicstatistics in the various Nordic languages.

Purpose:

Nordic Statistics will support the Nordic governments and Nordic parliamentarians in their work to create common solutions that benefit the citizens of the Nordic countries. Nordic Statistics also serves as a useful, relevant and open statistical tool that forms the basis for describing the Nordic Region in an intra-Nordic and international perspective.
