The City of Vantaa's procurement organises a tendering process and invites tenders for transport services for the City of Vantaa's Education Division's disability education pupils, pupils with reduced mobility, and pupil transport, holiday activities and temporary care facilities managed by the wellbeing services counties of Vantaa and Kerava.
The service description of the procurement is attached as Appendix 3.
Data protection and data security requirements are set out in Annexes 1 to 1.6 to this invitation to tender.
In this transport service, the Service Provider handles the transports mainly as student combined transports.
The service provider plans routes and transport schedules based on the customer information provided by the client and in accordance with the pupils' timetables and schedules.
The number and location of the Subscriber's schools and other locations may change, as well as the transportation addresses and number of pupils will change during the contract period.
In transport, the service provider always complies with the legislation in force, the decrees and regulations issued on its basis and the instructions given by the customer.
The shuttle service now has 170 students in 8/2023.
The value of the acquisition € / year is divided as follows:
Pupils in disability education and pupils with reduced mobility on school days 768 000 € / year
Transportation for holiday activities, during school holidays 47 000 € / year
Transport to temporary care facilities 60 000 € / year
On school working days, there are now 13 standard cars and 11 extra cars in regular student transport to/from school.
Two Service Providers will be selected for the procurement: the primary Service Provider and the Service Provider that came second in the tendering process.
Both parties, the City of Vantaa and the wellbeing services counties of Vantaa and Kerava, make their own decisions and agreements on procurement.
