The IOD IOV service is the in-flight implementation of the demonstration and validation plan for one or more on-board experiments.

The IOD IOV service provides covers all the services necessary for the implementation of the demonstration and validation plan for each experiment in orbit and for the provision of the associated raw data.

Activities strictly related to on-board equipment, such as the development of flight equipment (including its qualification) and the exploitation of the raw data resulting from the implementation of the demonstration and flight validation plan, will be covered by a dedicated contract for the purchase of results.
