Hargshamn is located in the municipality of Östhammar about 65 km northeast of Uppsala. The port is the nearest public freight port north of Stockholm. During late 2020 and spring 2021, the port undertook a deepening of the port basin in order to benefit from the previous deepening of the Maritime Agency and security-enhancing measures with the fairway. This contract includes shaft, construction and civil works within Hargs Port AB's port area for the construction of a new 200m - wharf.
