This competition is for provision of a digital first primary care service, where patients can access advice, support and treatment using digital and online tools from February 2021. This service will offer additional capacity to what is provided to patients registered with a Hounslow CCG GP Practice.

With increasing demands on GP practices across the UK and the Impact of Covid-19 there is pressure to create more capacity and an improved experience for patients, doctors and surgery staff.

In Hounslow there continues to be increasing demand on practices, urgent care services and A&E with patients citing problems in accessing GP appointments as the reason for presenting elsewhere in the system.

Hounslow consists of five primary care networks (PCNs) made up of 46 GP practices. The PCNs have taken the decision to procure an additional digital first primary care service, where patients can easily access the advice, support and treatment they need using digital and online tools.

This service will offer additional capacity to what is provided to the patients registered with a Hounslow GP practice. The integrity of the patient registered list would be maintained (patients would not move from their registered GP list).
