The professional association for raw materials and chemical industry (BG RCI) and the professional association for food and hospitality (BG N) have decided to renew their telephone systems and to standardize them across all locations. The future communication solution must be able to supply around 5,000 participants / ports at 34 locations. The award procedure includes the tendering of a new communication solution, combined with corresponding services for the project implementation as well as the subsequent service and operational performance for the communication system in the sense of a managed service. Port prices are required as a billing model. The managed service contract is to be concluded for a term of 5 years. In addition, there is a 12-month transition / migration phase prior to the start of the term, during which the future service provider initially has to provide part of the service and later a large part of the service.
BG RCI and BG N have several telephone systems to provide internal communication services and any special connections, the manufacturer support of which will end in the near future and could only be updated via upgrades. In addition, the switch to an IP-based technology is planned, which brings modern communication options from the field of unified communications and supplies all locations uniformly via a central solution. In order to meet these challenges, the BG RCI and BG N decided to renew their telephone systems, standardize them across all locations and map a 1: 1 exchange of the existing functions. The future communication solution must therefore be able to supply approx. 5,000 participants / ports (approx. 2,500 for BG RCI, approx. 2,500 for BG N) at 34 locations (21 for BG RCI, 13 for BG N). Solutions from the area of cordless telephony based on DECT infrastructures are also part of the scope of the solution, as is the implementation of a contact center solution for approx. 300 agents (approx. 150 at BG RCI, approx. 150 at BG N). In the course of the renewal of the telephone systems, some existing systems also have to be connected (again), in particular alarm servers and video room conference systems.
The award procedure therefore includes the tendering of a new, partially multi-tenant communication solution, combined with corresponding services for the project implementation as well as the subsequent service and operational performance for the communication system in the sense of a managed service. Port prices are required as a billing model. The services in question are provided within the framework of an outsourcing contract.
The managed service has a minimum term of 5 years with a uniform contract end for both clients. In addition, before the start of the minimum term, there is a preliminary planning and implementation phase of approx. 6 to 9 months and a 12-month transition / migration phase, during which the future service provider initially has to provide part of the service and later a large part of the service. Optionally, in the event of a change of contractor in the event of a new tender after the end of the service, this is followed by a migration period of probably another 12 and up to 24 months, during which some services still have to be performed as part of a meltdown process.
