The contract consists in the supply of sodium chloride from a "rock salt" quarry for road thaw necessary for the Province of Potenza. The presumed total quantity to be supplied, with reference to a presumed duration of the Contract equal to 24 months (in addition to any extension up to a maximum of three months), unless early termination following the completion of the contract up to the maximum amount envisaged, has been estimated at about 71,350 quintals of which presumably, 71000 quintals to be delivered in bulk and 350 quintals to be delivered in bags of Kg. 25. the presumed total quantity is indicative and may be varied by the Contracting Administration both increasing and decreasing depending on the seasonal trend without the supplier being able to draw reason to request changes in the prices offered or compensation for damages suffered. As an indication, the forecast of the amount of salt to be ordered for each winter season is as follows:

- winter season 2023: 35,500 quintals of bulk salt and 175 quintals of salt in bags;

- winter season 2024: 35,500 quintals of bulk salt and 175 quintals of salt in bags;
