In Nuremberg, N-ERGIE Netz GmbH is planning to build the connection between the existing district heating pipeline (KMR pipe DN 200) in Kressengartenstrasse, near the shore of Lake Wörther, and the existing pipeline in Bauvereinstrasse (KMR pipe DN 300). This gap closure, the so-called "Ostspange", serves to significantly increase the performance of the district heating network. On the planned route, a body of water, the lake "Wörther See", must be crossed underneath. The crossing of the "Wörther See" over a length of approx. 200 m is to be built by means of pipe jacking including two connecting shaft structures. The planned jacking pipe crosses Lake Wörth in the direction of tunnelling.
The culvert required for this must be walkable and piped with two DN 300 FW pipes.
The total route in KMR DN 300 is approx. 630 m.
