The Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Construction and Home Affairs conducts the Federal Congress on Urban Protection of Monuments as part of the technical support for urban development. On August 25 and 26, 2020, the congress will take place in Quedlinburg under the theme "Climate protection and adaptation in historic city quarters" (working title). Answers to the current questions of climate protection and climate adaptation in historic cities are to be discussed, which take the historical stock of the European city as a yardstick and orientation for future-oriented urban development.
