This is a collaborative procurement. The Contracting Authority will be Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of itself and Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.
Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is a mental health and learning disabilities provider employing over 6 000 staff covering the geographical area from Sunderland to Berwick.
NTW Solutions Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, providing an operated healthcare facility to the Trust in addition to estates, facilities, car leasing, finance, workforce and procurement support services.
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is a mental health and learning disabilities trust employing over 6 500 staff covering a geographical spread from Consett, Co Durham to York and Scarborough to Skipton. In addition, there are a few small services in Cumbria and Lancashire equating to approximately 20 staff.
The occupational health and counselling service provider will work in partnership with the Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust Group and Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in providing accessible expertise to ensure a safe, healthy working environment that benefits staff and promotes high-quality patient care. The Trusts and the occupational health service contractor aim to promote and maintain the highest possible level of physical, mental and social well-being of all employees, through the identification and management of risks to health and compliance of health and safety legislation.
Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust Group and Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers, to provide occupational health and counselling services to the organisations.
The Trust wishes to contract with a single entity provider. Any consortia may be required to form a joint legal entity for the purpose of the contract.
