The state of Rhineland-Palatinate plans to build a new police headquarters in the city center of Ludwigshafen / Rhein. Due to the location exposed to urban planning and the desired high quality of design, which at the same time must take into account the accommodation on a narrow property with high safety requirements for a modern police headquarters, a non-open competition was awarded.
The overall order includes the planning and execution of the new building with approx. 9 200 sqm NU 1-6 on the property on Heinigstraße. This also includes space for the accommodation of official vehicles etc. in 3 underground car park floors.
For the achievement picture engineering constructions acc. HOAI considers the construction pit construction including groundwater drainage required for the excavation as an independent object (lot 1).
The other objects in the power plant engineering structures are awarded separately.
The property has an area of approximately 4 300 sqm. It is located on the multi-lane main traffic axis, in the immediate vicinity is a high road that connects the cities of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Areas for construction site equipment and delivery are only possible to a limited extent.
The estimated total costs acc. DIN 276 amounts to approx. EUR 90.60 million, of which approx. EUR 8.20 million (allowable costs net) is attributable to the watertight bow-pit construction including drainage, and approx. EUR 7.40 million to the structural engineering of Baugrubenverbau (creditable Costs net).
