Process engineering for the flue gas purification plant furnace line 4 in the “Triphoenix” project.
The Zweckverband Müllverwertung Schwandorf (ZMS) has been operating a waste power plant in Schwandorf since 1982 with a total of four waste boiler lines and a total capacity of around 450,000 mg/a. Due to the increasing frequency of failure due to the long operating time, the ZMS now intends to completely replace the aforementioned furnace lines 1 to 3 by new plants. However, the availability of furnace line 4 (not part of Triphoenix) is currently primarily limited by contamination in the flue gas purification plant - particularly in the CDAS reactor. In order to ensure uninterrupted availability of furnace line 4 during the project, the existing flue gas purification system is now to be replaced by a new system first.
For the complete replacement of the flue gas cleaning system of kiln line 4, the construction work for the project described above is now being awarded. According to the award documents, the scope includes:
1. the planning, calculation, design and coding (according to the KKS power plant identification system) of a new sub-plant for flue gas purification in combustion line 4 of MKW Schwandorf, delivery, required disassembly, assembly, operational completion and conversion work,
2. commissioning, trial operation and handover of the operational system mentioned under 1,
3. adequate professional and organizational training and instruction of the client's operating staff (AG), and
4. comprehensive documentation
as part of the overall project “Triphoenix”
Holistic processing includes all services mentioned in the service description, as well as organizational coordination of processing as well as the exchange of information and communication with the project participants mentioned in the service description.
It is pointed out that space is very limited and the project has to be completed while the power plant is in operation.
