Transfer, implementation and operation of a centrally operated practice management system in GMG Gesundheitsmanagement mbH emergency services practices

Patients in the North Rhine Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians are currently being treated in 80 emergency services practices, of which 68 will be operated by GMG Gesundheitsmanagement mbH from 01.01.2022. The remaining emergency services practices are managed by other operators and are therefore not the subject of this call for tenders. At present, GMG emergency services practices use a locally installed practice management system. The tender documents contain an overview of the locations of emergency services practices. During the contract period, emergency services practices operated by GMG can be reopened and existing emergency services practices can be closed or relocated to other locations; the number of emergency services practices operated by GMG may also change during the contract period. Details of requirements during the contract period can be found in the tender documents.

The aim of this call for tenders is the procurement (purchase), implementation and operation of a uniform and centrally operated practice management system in GMG-operated emergency services practices, which supports the applications of the telematics infrastructure. The practice administration system is to be operated, not as before in emergency services practices, but centrally in an external data center. Access to the telematics infrastructure should also be managed and operated centrally. Connectors should not be installed and operated on site in emergency services practices, but externally. The IT equipment already available in emergency services practices should continue to be used as far as possible and economically. The storage of insured data within emergency services practices should be excluded as far as possible.

As part of this tender, the contractor provides the client with the following services:

- Centralized data center operations:

- Data center operations 24/7/365

- Connection of emergency services practices to the data center

- Provision of a centrally hosted practice management system (PVS) for emergency services practices (fully managed)

- Connection of all GMG-operated emergency services practices to the practice management system on a staggered basis

- Connecting GMG users

- Connecting users from medical practices

- Provision of telematics infrastructure applications in emergency services practices

- Installation and operation of connectors certified by gematik

- Operation of TI, fully managed

- Connection of all GMG operated emergency services practices to TI

The award procedure is carried out by KV Nordrhein for GMG. The future contractor's contractual partner will be GMG Gesundheitsmanagementgesellschaft mbH.
