Within the framework of the KHZG funding criterion 2, the Ostalb Clinics are planning to award the procurement, implementation and maintenance of a patient portal and discharge and transfer management.
Patient portalThe Kliniken Ostalb are an independent company of the district Ostalbkreis in the legal form of a non-profit municipal institution under public law.
In addition to high-quality all-round care for the population, the Ostalbkreis hospital network also offers special medical services at a top level. With over 1,100 beds, approx. 50,000 inpatients and 100,000 outpatients treated annually, Kliniken Ostalb is not only the TOP healthcare provider in the region, but with its more than 3,000 employees is one of the largest employers in the district.
The three clinics use as KIS CGM Medico which are managed in three clients.
Billing takes place via three IK numbers.
The HIS is hosted and administered by the central IT department at the Stauferklinikum Mutlangen site. The central data center is also located at the Stauferklinikum site. The applications are provided via a VM-Ware and Citrix environment.

The subject of the tender is the procurement of a KHZG-compliant patient portal and discharge and transfer management within the meaning of the above-mentioned funding facts, which are connected to the existing HIS via interfaces or direct integration.
The introduction of such a patient portal is intended to optimize processes in the areas of digital admission and treatment management for both patients and clinics. Dismissal and transition management to downstream service providers is also to be optimised through the introduction of digital placement software.
The subject matter of the contract includes:
Provision of the software, implementation/project planning at the individual locations, operation/maintenance/support for a period of three years, including the possibility of renewal after 36 months and training.
