Purchase of a load spectrum test bench including delivery, installation, commissioning and training.
The large-scale device is a transmission test bench for application-related component tests with a gear pairing at a center distance of 91.5 mm, from which the component size is determined. The function of the test bench is the tribological characterization of lubricants and gear materials. The load is divided into 13 levels of damage force. The test bench with electrical tension is used for testing all lubricating oils with wear protection additives and for lubricating greases for gear transmissions. Tests can be carried out to determine the scuffing load capacity, pit load capacity, grey spot load capacity and the slow-running wear protection under stationary loads or load spectra. In addition, the overall efficiency and noise behavior of gears can be investigated. The results of the standardized tests are transferable to similar elasto-hydrodynamic systems.
The test gearbox is not part of the scope of delivery and is provided by the research center.
Comparable test benches are only available at very few research centers in Germany and worldwide. One research focus of the Department of Machine Elements, Gears and Tribology is the efficiency measurement and optimization of gears and machine elements. As an additional benefit, the procurement of the load spectrum test bench will deepen the existing research fields of drive technology and tribology, especially in the experimental analysis of gears, the development of gear lubricants and the testing of surface structures.
The large device should be delivered within 6 months after the order has been placed. Detailed equipment requirements, requirements for the contractor/bidder and requested services can be found in the tender documents.
