Description:
An AI-based software tool for coding support and analysis is being introduced to assist medical staff in translating documentation into billing codes, with services including software provision, installation, maintenance, and support.

The subject matter is the network-wide introduction of an AI-based software tool for coding support and analysis (hereinafter referred to as the coding tool for short). The Contractor's services include, in particular, the provision of the software, installation, configuration, maintenance, support and updates.

Coding Software.
Knappschaft Kliniken Solution GmbH (KKSG) is conducting the tender. The contracting authorities and users are the following companies: - Universitätsklinikum Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum GmbH - Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bottrop GmbH - Knappschaftsklinikum Saar GmbH - Klinikum Vest GmbH - Bergmannsheil und Kinderklinik Buer GmbH - Klinikum Westfalen GmbH - Rhein-Maas Klinikum GmbH The KKSG is the awarding body and contact point for the ongoing award procedure. Content requirements were defined after the KKG's research. The technical evaluation is carried out by the KKG. The Contractor shall grant the aforementioned companies ("Authorized Releasers"), as well as other affiliated companies within the meaning of Section 15 of the German Stock Corporation Act, the conditions agreed in accordance with this procedure. Clients may therefore also be undertakings other than the clients within the meaning of this agreement. The subject matter is the network-wide introduction of an AI-based software tool for coding support and analysis (hereinafter referred to as the coding tool for short). This coding tool is intended to use artificial intelligence to make medically validated suggestions for coding completion and, on the one hand, must support medical staff and coding specialists in translating medical documentation into diagnostic and procedural codes for the billing of cases. On the other hand, it must be possible to use the tool to check the quality of the cases coded for billing in order to be able to correct any undocumented or incomplete or incorrect coding. The individual clients are clients and invoice recipients for their own needs. The contracting authorities are not jointly and severally liable. The term for the license is 12 months, from the date of connection of the software to the HIS system. The contract is extended three times by 12 months each if it is not terminated by the client before the end of the respective contract period. The price per inpatient case is fixed for the duration of the contract. There is no limit to the number of users. The contractor's service includes the provision of the software, installation, configuration, maintenance, support and updates. Support is provided during office hours (Monday to Friday, except on national public holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). The software must always be up to date. Maintenance is done remotely. The costs for the use of the software are queried as a euro amount per stationary case in the tender. Payment is made quarterly according to the actual number of inpatient cases. The following elements are also included in the contract to control the service provider: If the regulation on the availability of the software is not met, 1,000 euros per hour will be charged.
