Upgrade of ITCS Onboard Computers in WSW Buses for Remaining Ticket Sales
LOT-0001
Upgrade of ITCS Onboard Computers in WSW Buses for Remaining Ticket Sales.
WSW intends to upgrade the existing ITCS onboard computer component in the buses to include a cashless ticket sales function. This requires the upgrade of the devices in the WSW buses as well as the corresponding complementary functions in the backend system to achieve the above-mentioned objective. Upgrade of Sales Function: - Ticket sales and ticket printing (thermal printing) Integration of the sales functions based on the limited product offering of the VRR The ITCS onboard computers are to be upgraded with ticket printers. The upgraded devices and the backend system must be equipped with functions for data procurement and disposal, billing, personnel/shift management, and a fully graphical ticket editor. The issuance of sold products on the vehicle will be done exclusively on thermal paper according to the VRR design guidelines. Currently, there are no plans to issue tickets electronically according to VDV standards (no DL function). A relation-based sale (target search with applied price level matrix) should support the operating personnel in the sales process and ensure the issuance of the correct price level. - Cashless Payment The planned cashless ticket sales on the vehicles will be processed via a contactless payment terminal integrated into the device. The financial service provider (FDL) necessary for cashless payments is not part of this tender; however, the corresponding configuration of the reading device through the device software and backend system is included. - Expandability for Future Sales Concepts The system and hardware (e.g., reader device) should be upgradeable for future sales concepts such as ID or Account-Based Ticketing. This requires the implementation of the associated hardware pre-arrangements (e.g., chip card terminal, computer/storage equipment). Extension of Operating Functions: - Navigation with graphical representation - Multilingualism on the user interface and for notifications and instructions - Electronic logbook including vehicle defect report - Electronic documents on the ITCS onboard computer - Function expansions in representation and operational communication - Hardware for vehicle-side preparation for functions to support visually impaired passengers. This is limited to an integrated Bluetooth module. Project Scope: The project scope includes the delivery and equipping of the onboard computers to be upgraded for 300 buses plus replacement devices. Services: Furthermore, services for the implementation of the system such as creating the specifications, training, commissioning, testing, acceptance, mounting of vehicle-side extensions are part of the project scope.
