The goal of the framework arrangement divided into areas to be formed in this competition is to create a supplier network for the development, further development, and support and maintenance tasks related to ticket and payment systems for public transport and transport services, as well as passenger information services and related systems and solutions, which can respond to the evolving needs of public transport systems, multimodal mobility services, and Smart City functions, such as ticket and payment systems.
Providers may submit offers for either one, several, or all of the eight (8) areas listed below. If a provider offers for multiple areas, separate offers must be made for all areas. All required items belonging to the area (i.e., hourly or fixed-price resource support) must be provided.

Waltti Solutions Ltd is procuring the necessary IT consultancy services for its operations and development.
This area of the framework arrangement will select suppliers who can provide expert work for sales channel-related solutions. The main part of the work for this area will be the further development of existing solutions and utilizing technology platforms in new applications. New system parts and service packages that complement existing solutions may also be implemented or taken into use. The further development work may focus on expanding the service content of sales channels, such as implementing customized solutions. Within this area, work in internal procurements of the framework agreement may target the systems, services, and solutions described below.

Background Services for Public Transport Systems.
This area of the framework arrangement will select suppliers who can provide expert work for the background services related to public transport arrangements. The main part of the work for this area will be the further development of existing solutions and utilizing technology platforms in new applications. The architecture of existing solutions partly consists of independent processes of various microservices. JL background services act as a connecting factor between various public transport systems and services. New system parts and service packages that complement existing solutions may also be implemented or taken into use. The further development work may focus on expanding the service content of the public transport background system, such as implementing customized solutions. Within this area, work in internal procurements of the framework agreement may target the systems, services, and solutions described below.

This area of the framework arrangement will select suppliers who can develop mobile services supporting public transport, multimodal mobility services, and smart city functions, as well as related auxiliary services and management solutions. Expert work will be purchased for this area. The work for this area is divided into two parts: The first (1.) part will involve the further development of existing solutions and utilizing implemented interfaces, logics, APIs, and technology platforms in new applications; The second (2.) part of the work involves developing and implementing new system parts that supplement or replace existing solutions and maintaining current solutions.

This area of the framework arrangement will select suppliers from whom further development and maintenance services can be procured as expert work.
