The tender is being conducted through a negotiated procedure with a competition for participation. This is a two-stage process. The participation competition serves to select the applicants who will be invited by the client to submit an offer. The selection is based on the stated selection and suitability criteria and the participation documents submitted by the bidders. After the completion of the participation competition, the negotiation procedure will be conducted with the selected applicants. The negotiation procedure is divided into 2 stages, for which a solution proposal must be created for each: Negotiation procedure Stage 1 serves to reduce the participants to 3 participants. For this purpose, the applicants must create a conceptual outline with explanations. Negotiation procedure Stage 2 will be conducted during a negotiation discussion with bidder presentations. The KIT is planning a new building on the South Campus to accommodate a research group focusing on medical technology, robotics, life science engineering, and data sciences in the research areas of nanomaterials and health technologies. ProcessingHealth is conceived as a research project for site development, where 120 scientists will work directly on the processing of health technologies. The new building will be equipped with technical areas, chemical, biological, and physical laboratories, as well as computer rooms. All rooms, including offices and meeting rooms, will be temporarily made available to KIT scientists within the framework of ongoing projects and processes. The construction of the building includes a laboratory building with areas for processing and digitization. Furthermore, offices for the employees and meeting and conference rooms are planned. The building will be divided into public, semi-public, and a security area. No special facilities are planned in the outer area. The planning task includes a usable area of about 2,500m² and a net usable area of about 4,700m². ProcessingHealth would like to use its research work publicly through events and presentations. Therefore, good accessibility of the research building by interested parties with a representative entrance is mandatory. The construction site at Adenauer Ring / Durchlacher Tor is well suited for the intended public relations work due to its central location and good accessibility. The immediate neighborhood to InformatiKOM also creates synergies with the KIT Faculty of Computer Science.
