LOT-0000
Medication Management.
The Orthopedic Clinic Hessisch Lichtenau gGmbH has applied for funding under the Hospital Future Act (KHZG) according to § 19 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 5 KHSFV.

Medication is one of the most common therapeutic measures in inpatient treatment. The processes surrounding medication therapy are extremely complex and consequently prone to errors. A digital medication management system is intended to electronically support and significantly improve the medication process from admission to administration documentation and handover in the discharge process in all phases.

The current medication ordering is done in ORBIS, the ordering plan is confusing, and there is no system-supported control of the prescriptions. To avoid common errors such as incomplete documentation, transcription errors or readability problems in the future and to eliminate resulting ordering, placement, and dispensing errors, the Orthopedic Clinic Hessisch Lichtenau gGmbH is looking for a provider to implement the digital medication system with deep integration into the existing hospital information system.

Objectives:

• The entire medication process from ordering to administration will be conducted using barcode support and electronically documented.
• All relevant patient and medication information is available at any time.
• The ordering of medications by medical staff and the documentation of implementation by nursing staff is carried out directly in the hospital information system.
• The medication therapy safety (ATMS) and patient safety will be increased.

The details can be found in the list of minimum requirements (Annex 1) to these tender documents.
