Description:
The contractor will provide advisory and ecological construction supervision services to ensure compliance with nature and environmental protection regulations during the construction operations at the Asse II Shaft Facility.

Parallel to the planning and implementation of the retrieval, extensive measures are required, such as construction projects on the surface operating site of the shaft facility for the modernization and expansion of the infrastructure to ensure the mine's accessibility. The retrieval of radioactive waste and the necessary preparatory work are accompanied by extensive and technically very complex approval procedures. These approval procedures are divided into four application complexes and processed. The application complexes are oriented to the respective process steps in the retrieval. In addition to the nuclear and radiation protection approval procedures, the mining and environmental law processes are also of primary importance. For the execution of the necessary mining activities, operational plans must fundamentally be established (framework and main operational plan as well as special operational plans). To obtain approval for these operational plans, the mining law approval requirements from the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) as well as the requirements from the subordinate regulatory frameworks (e.g., ABBergV, ABVO, BVOS, etc.) must be met. Furthermore, extensive investigations of the potential impacts on the environment are expected. Here, the preparation of the documents for the environmental impact assessment (UVP), the assessment of compatibility with the adjacent FFH area (FFH-VP), as well as the examinations according to the nature conservation legislation's intervention regulations and species protection will be particularly crucial.
Currently, BGE is working on preparing the documents for the implementation of the application items of the first application complex for the retrieval. The subject of this tender is the conclusion of a framework agreement for construction supervision.
