The subject of the award procedure will be the award of a service concession for the construction and operation of a charging infrastructure for e-mobility. The company is looking for a full-service provider that will set up to 2,000 charging points at the BLB NRW locations and subsequently operate them as a concessionaire for an expected period of eight years.

Planning, construction and operation of a charging infrastructure for e-mobility/expansion of charging station infrastructure.
It is intended to put out to tender the construction and operation of around 2000 charging points for AC charging stations with a minimum output of 11 kW per charging point in a negotiated procedure following a public competition. BLB NRW will not itself become the operator and installer of charging facilities. Rather, the development of infrastructure is ensured by a long-term contract with a company from the private sector. This company will be allowed to plan, build and operate the charging infrastructure independently. BLB NRW will only provide the parking spaces at its properties and bear the costs for the planning and construction of the charging infrastructure up to the handover point of the respective charging point.
