The tender is being carried out in a negotiated procedure with a participation competition. This is a two-stage procedure. The participation competition serves to select the candidates who will be invited by the client to submit bids. The selection is based on the specified selection and suitability criteria and the participation documents submitted by the bidders. After the conclusion of the participation competition, the negotiation procedure will commence with the selected candidates. The negotiation procedure is divided into 2 stages, for which a solution proposal must be created: Negotiation procedure stage 1 serves to reduce the participants to 3 participants. For this purpose, the applicants must create a concept sketch with explanations. Negotiation procedure stage 2 is conducted in the context of a negotiation meeting with bidder presentation. The negotiation procedure consists of the submission of the initial bid, at least one bidder and negotiation meeting, as well as the final submission of the bid. The bid examination and evaluation will be carried out based on the required proof and declarations, the submitted bid documents, as well as the announced award criteria. For further details, please refer to the tender documents.

KIT plans a new building on the South Campus for the accommodation of a research group focusing on medical technology, robotics, life science engineering, and data science in the research areas of nanomaterials and health technologies. ProcessingHealth is designed as a research project for site development, where 120 researchers will work directly on the processing of health technologies. The new building will be equipped with laboratory areas, chemical, biological, and physical laboratories, and computer rooms. The entire premises, including offices and meeting rooms, will be temporarily made available to KIT researchers within the framework of ongoing projects and processes. The construction of the building includes a laboratory building with areas for processing and digitization. Furthermore, offices for employees as well as meeting and conference rooms are planned. The building will be divided into public, semi-public, and a security area. There are no special facilities planned for the outer area. The planning task encompasses a usable area of approximately 2,500m² and a net usable area of around 4,700m². ProcessingHealth wants to bring its research work to the public through events and lectures. Therefore, good accessibility to the research building with a representative entrance is mandatory. The construction site at Adenauer Ring / Durchlacher Tor is ideally suited for the planned public relations work due to its central location and good accessibility. The immediate proximity to InformatiKOM further creates synergies with the KIT Faculty of Computer Science. The following schedule is planned: Performance level 1 (with preparation of construction documents by September 2026): - LPH 2: Preliminary planning with cost estimate - LPH 3: Design planning with cost calculation and preparation of construction documents - LPH 4: Approval planning Performance level 2 (3rd quarter 2026 - 4th quarter 2027): - LPH 5: Implementation planning with cost estimate - LPH 6: Preparation of the award with cost estimate - LPH 7: Participation in the award with cost estimate Performance level 3 (from 1st quarter 2028 - 4th quarter 2032) - LPH 8: Execution, project supervision with cost determination, - Start of construction - Completion - Commissioning and handover Services to be awarded: 1.
