The German Electron Synchrotron DESY is a research facility with locations in Hamburg and Zeuthen (Brandenburg). On the DESY Campus area in Hamburg, the new construction of an Integrated Technology and Startup Center (ITGZ I) is being built as a venue for innovation projects with a flexible and multifunctional research and communication center. The project is part of the development area 'Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld'. As part of these plans, the southern part of the DESY Campus is also being redesigned and further developed. The construction site is located on the DESY premises between building 11b in the west and the storage facilities belonging to the University of Hamburg in the east. To the north, the access road leads past the eastern campus entrance. In the northeastern construction area, there is a group of trees that needs to be protected and preserved. DESY Hamburg New Building ITGZ I - Laboratory Gases and Compressed Air.
For ITGZ I, supply systems for technical gases for start-ups from the DESY environment are to be delivered and installed. The planned applications include the areas - Microbiology / Genetic Engineering, safety level S2 - Chemistry, Organic and Inorganic - Physics with Optics Laser laboratories Class IV Quantum Technology X-ray applications - Electrical workshops - Mechanical workshops. To be supplied and constructed are, among other things, 18 bottle pressure reducers, 27 battery pressure reducers, 280 m copper pipes, 1970 m stainless steel pipes, 38 m venting pipes for autoclaves, 5 compressed air generators, 13 stationary gas alarm systems, 26 gas shortage signal devices. In addition, the maintenance of the supply systems for technical gases will be requested according to the tender documents with a separate maintenance contract.
