The University of Salford seeks to acquire a terrestrial laser scanner to enhance research and teaching in areas such as forest measurement, river monitoring, and built environment characterization.
The University of Salford's School of Science, Engineering & Environment wishes to procure a new terrestrial laser scanner solution to support a range of research and teaching activities. Applications will include, but are not limited to, measuring forest structure (e.g. extraction of parameters including tree height, diameter at breast height, crown diameter, crown area, and woody volume), monitoring river systems (e.g. estimation of channel/bank characteristics, changes in floodplain sediment storage, grain size), and characterising the built environment (building survey and 3D modelling).
