Description:
Implementation of a digital care and treatment documentation system for clinics in Cologne funded by the Hospital Future Fund, with a 3-year initial term extendable up to 5 years, to digitize nursing and treatment documentation alongside the HIS.

Within the framework of the present award procedure, the procurer (hereinafter referred to as AG) intends to implement the nationwide implementation of a digital care and treatment documentation system for the normal wards with an initial fixed term of three years, whereby it should be noted that the measure is financed by funds from the Hospital Future Fund (funding fact 3).
In this respect, it must be stated that in order to achieve eligibility for funding, all mandatory requirements for the relevant funding fact 3 must be met. There are no plans to change the HIS provider. At the end of the project, the nursing and treatment documentation is to be digitized as far as possible and the digital care and treatment documentation system is to be used alongside the HIS as the central work tool for documenting all treatments.
In addition to the initial fixed term, the Client is entitled to a two-time extension option. It may, by means of a unilateral written declaration, extend the term of the contract by one year at a time, i.e. up to a maximum term of 5 years.
In accordance with the tender documents, including the (partial) functional specification, the Contractor (hereinafter referred to as AN) is to be commissioned with the implementation of a digital care and treatment documentation system that is ready for acceptance, i.e. essentially defect-free, as well as an implementation compatible with the current IT landscape.
In this respect, all necessary services must be provided in accordance with the specification, from project planning and planning of the digital care and treatment documentation system to installation and commissioning to support and service.
