Both vehicles (solo buses, midibuses) and the associated charging infrastructure (LIS) for the Lampertheim site and optionally for the Neckarau/Mannheim site are to be procured and transferred to regular service. The object of the contract described here is solely the award of a contract for the procurement of up to 15 midibuses with battery-electric drive (framework agreement). To implement these measures, V-Bus has applied for funding for the procurement of 20 solo buses and 10 midibuses as well as the construction of 16 X LIS at the depot in Lampertheim. These are the funds for the "Promotion of buses with alternative drives" of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, under the leadership of the project management agency "Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH". The call-off of 10 midibuses is set as the guaranteed minimum purchase quantity in the present case. However, the framework agreement for the supply of vehicles tendered here also includes optional vehicles that go beyond this, as additional vehicles could be necessary in the future due to increased performance. For vehicles exceeding the minimum purchase quantities, V-Bus is not obliged to accept them. The V-Bus is much more free to call up the optional vehicles until the defined upper limits are reached. The call-off depends in particular on whether the V-Bus has appropriate own funds available in good time or whether other funding is approved.
