The BMWK market development programme is intended to make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), self-employed persons in the commercial sector as well as specialist liberal professions and business-related service providers with business operations in Germany to enter new markets and lead to further export success.
Business initiations are events related to a specific target country and a specific industry (e.g. optics in France/waste management in Poland). As part of a specialist presentation event, interested local companies, administrations, associations and institutions will receive concrete information about the performance of the respective industry in Germany. Above all, German companies have the opportunity to present their products, services and possible fields of cooperation to the foreign trade audience in a short presentation focused on the essentials. The presentation event is intended to provide space for contact discussions between German and foreign participants as well as to include other appealing elements.
The central element of business initiation is the individually prepared contact talks of the German companies for a targeted business initiation with potential business partners of the target country. Prior to the event, target market analyses will be prepared with comprehensive information about the industry and market, which will be made available to the participants and also published. The requirements set out in Appendix 1_ABD and the Guidelines apply to the implementation of the project.
