Contracts for the supply of medical devices and equipment will be concluded for the purpose of acquiring the devices and equipment within the project "Investments in the oncology department's infrastructure of the County Emergency Hospital Miercurea Ciuc which diagnoses and treats cancer". The overall objective of the project is to equip the oncology department of the hospital with medical devices that will be used in the process of diagnosing and treating cancer, and which will significantly contribute to establishing the most precise diagnoses in the shortest time possible for cytological and histopathological diagnostics.
The contracting authority will clearly and completely respond to all requests for clarification/additional information 11 days prior to the deadline set for the submission of offers. The number of days until which clarifications can be requested before the deadline for the submission of offers is 18 days.

The increasing incidence of cancer, which represents one of the main causes of death in Romania, with a rising incidence. Equipping the oncology department with modern equipment is essential to ensure early diagnosis and effective treatment of patients. Limited access to cutting-edge technology. Miercurea Ciuc is a smaller city, and patients from the region often have to travel to larger medical centers to benefit from advanced treatments. Equipping the local department with modern equipment would reduce the need for these travels, providing local access to quality services. Early diagnostic equipment can detect cancer in its early stages, significantly increasing the chances of successful treatment and reducing cases of death.
The Health Program through this project call represents an opportunity for the healthcare unit to access funding dedicated to improving medical infrastructure, a crucial aspect for modernizing the oncology department. The investment aligns with the strategic objectives of the Romanian health system, which aims to improve access to quality medical services and reduce regional disparities regarding access to modern treatments.
The implementation of the investments will allow the hospital to increase its diagnostic and treatment capacity, which is crucial to cope with the growing number of oncology patients. With the acquisition of modern equipment, healthcare staff will benefit from continuous training and professional development, thus contributing to the improvement of competence and quality of services offered. The investments will have a positive impact on the entire community, not just on patients, by improving local medical infrastructure and increasing the level of trust in the healthcare system. Additionally, the well-being of patients and/or caregivers who come to the oncology department is crucially important from several perspectives. Improving well-being contributes to better treatment outcomes, increased satisfaction, and reduced stress and anxiety, having a significant impact on quality of life.
