Description of the tendered area
The tender conditions include the requirements placed on applicants wishing to be considered as suppliers to Aarhus Municipality within the area:
- Provision of urban strategic consulting in connection with planning and implementation of the development of vulnerable housing areas and municipal areas related to vulnerable housing areas in Aarhus Municipality.
The development of vulnerable housing areas in Aarhus Municipality has significant political attention, and the development of these vulnerable housing areas occurs in close collaboration with the respective housing associations. A crucial part of the task is that the Tenderer navigates in this field.
The development of the vulnerable areas often involves complex processes that span several years, including parallel development of both public and private housing.
The consulting may include:
• Assistance in strategic urban development in vulnerable housing areas, including the preparation of development plans
o Consulting on the physical development in existing neighborhoods, including the preparation of vision and strategies for urban life, urban spaces, and buildings
o Preparation of concepts/sketch plans as a basis for future plans
o Preparation of studies showing development opportunities for areas in existing neighborhoods, including regarding architecture, landscape, infrastructure, planning, area assessments, and recreational areas, etc., ensuring that a project can be realized
o Urban strategic analyses and mapping of planning constraints for a development area
o Transforming political visions into physical concepts
o Contributing to project development
• Contribution to project management, including processual sparring
• Urban strategic consulting and assistance in connection with the execution of tenders (e.g., competitions)
