The main purpose of this service assignment is to carry out limited but also more extensive study assignments with regard to hydraulic structures, concrete structures, steel construction, electromechanics, etc.

The study assignments will cover, among other things:
- Hydraulic structures: locks, quay walls of all their nature and size, pontoons, dugs, soil and bank linings, quay accessories, etc., parts thereof or in their entirety;
- Concrete structures: bridges, foundations, etc. parts of them or in their entirety
- Steel construction: fixed spans, movable bridges, walkways, quay accessories, etc., parts thereof or in whole
- Small buildings, foundations, etc. parts of it or in whole
- Motion mechanisms, drives, hydraulic devices, etc.

For each study assignment, the expected performance of the service provider will be determined separately and in advance.

The following services (not exhaustive) may be expected from the service provider:
• Carrying out measurements, where necessary in 3D, processing and interpreting the results;
• Making an inventory of available, existing information such as soil research, material research, etc. and processing and interpreting the results and making proposals regarding soil investigations, materials investigations, etc.;
• Making an inventory of available calculation notes, processing and interpreting the content of these calculation notes, answering questions regarding these calculation notes in response to new, changed taxes on the existing structures;
• Drawing up a hypothesis note in close consultation with the client;
• Drawing up various preliminary design and design files (including the necessary stability studies) of very small and/or larger infrastructure works;
• Preparation of legible and clear calculation notes, in particular of local and global stability, welding calculations, fatigue calculations, strength calculations of certain parts and details, etc.;
• Drawing up a design and adapting it to the comments of POAB;
• Conducting feasibility studies;
• Drawing up environmental permits;
• Attending meetings and drawing up accompanying reports;
• Drawing up associated estimates;
• Drawing up tender drawings at the execution level - in accordance with the customs of POAB - and the level of detail of which can be agreed with the client in advance for each study assignment. The tender drawings are mainly general drawings, detailed drawings, workshop drawings, composition drawings, formwork and reinforcement drawings with associated bending states, etc. at execution level;
• Providing assistance to POAB during the execution of specific infrastructure works;
• Preparation of an as-built file;
